Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Service Management Group (DSMG) make a Motion to deny the special event known as Delray Exotic Auto Show Presented by Lamborghini of Palm Beach and One Source Car to be held on September 29, 2024.

Background:

Exotic Auto Shows LLC submitted a Special Event Application on April11, 2024 to hold an exotic car show on Old School Square, NE 2nd Ave and in Worthing Park.The request was reviewed by SETAC on May 2, 2024. This event is to provide families a fun way to get up close to high end exotic vehicles and bring in high end clients to Delray. Also to inspire your kids to dream big. The event will help local businesses by bringing in a crowd of wealthy individuals and families of all types who will eat and shop.

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):

SETAC was not unanimous in their vote. The vote was 7-2 to recommend DSMG to deny this event. Police, Special Events, Parks and Recreation and Emergency Management were a few of the departments to voice concerns over the event. Some of the concerns stated were that we already have two successful car shows at Old School Square during the "season".
