Motion to approve the Affiliation Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees for social work learning experience.

Background:
This Affiliation Agreement is between the City of Delray Beach and Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees, on behalf of its Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work, for social work learning experience. The University desires to use the Police Department’s facilities for social work learning experience for students enrolled in and/or seeking a degree from the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work. The Police Department desires to cooperate with the University in making our facilities available for educational purposes.
The agreement outlines parties’ responsibilities related to student selection/placement, coordination of activities, supervision, and related.
The term of this Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and shall continue in effect for a period of three (3) years, renewing automatically for a period of one (1) year for up to five (5) years. This Agreement may be terminated by either Party upon thirty (30) days prior written notice by the other Party.
