Motion to Approve Resolution No. 214-24 amending the Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget adopted on September 18, 2023.

Background:
The purpose of this request is to amend the adopted Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 budget to account for items that were not anticipated, or measurable at the time of original budget adoption. Per Florida Statute (F.S.) 166.241, the City’s Adopted Budget may be revised with a Budget Amendment approved by the City Commission. Additionally, the governing body of each municipality at any time within a fiscal year or within 60 days following the end of the fiscal year may amend a budget for that year (F.S. 166.241 (7)). Provided below is a summary of the budget changes staff is recommending. The attached Resolution and Exhibit A provide details of the proposed changes.
General Fund (001) $96,159
1. Finance Department
Request to amend the Finance Department budget to cover additional personnel services in the Administration Division to account for leave payouts, insurance, and other personnel costs.
The transfer amount requested is $83,841.
Funding Source: Interest Investment Income
2. Parking Facilities
Request to amend the Parking Facilities Department FY 2023-24 to cover a few payments to CDR Delray FEC LLC. (CDR) for parking improvements.
The transfer amount requested is $12,318.
