Title

AMENDMENT 4 TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH AND PALM BEACH COUNTY

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve Amendment No. 4 as modified by Palm Beach County School District for the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and the School Board of Palm Beach County to share student information as part of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading initiative.

Body

Background:

Amendment No. 4 to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and the School Board of Palm Beach County for our Data Sharing Agreement expires on July 30, 2016.  Amendment No. 4 to extend the agreement for one (1) additional year was approved by the City Commission at it's meeting of July 5, 2016. However, after it was approved, the School Board's attorney made a minor change to paragraph VI.A, and therefore, the agreement needs to be reapproved with the new language.  Attached is Amendment No. 4 that notes the change and is now signed by the School Board attorney noting it's legal form and sufficiency.

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

Timing of Request:

This is a time-sensitive item since the School Board needs to approve it as quickly as possible.
