Background:

The City of Delray Beach Fire Rescue Department has through local ordinance adopted the Florida Fire and Life Safety Code. The State Fire Marshal’s office updates the Florida Fire Prevention code every 3 years when the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) releases the new edition of the NFPA Fire code. Amending our existing ordinance will ensure that our ordinance is referencing the most up to date and applicable fire code.
