Approve the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Delray Beach (“City”) and the Delray Beach Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) for partnership for the 2025 Delray Beach Open Tennis Tournament (“Tournament”), in an amount not to exceed $905,000, in substantially the attached form.

Background:
At the September 24, 2024 CRA Board meeting, the Board adopted the CRA Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 (“Annual Budget”). The CRA’s Annual Budget allocates funds for this matter in an amount not to exceed $905,000. The Tournament takes place from February 7, 2025 to February 16, 2025 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.

The Delray Beach Tennis Center is located with the CRA’s District. The Tournament attracts numerous spectators to the Community Redevelopment Area who also patronize local businesses, which provides a beneficial economic impact to those businesses located within the Community Redevelopment Area and provides an opportunity for the CRA to disseminate community redevelopment information.
