Background:

Nationally, May is Mental Health Awareness Month - recognizing the importance of community understanding around mental health and wellness.  Locally, May marks the annual Get Your Green On campaign - originally developed by Healthier Delray Beach and Atlantic High School students over 4 years ago.  The campaign encourages Palm Beach County and counties beyond, to wear green on May 23rd to honor awareness and acceptance around behavioral health.  Healthier Delray Beach requests that the City of Delray Beach support the awareness month and the Get Your Green On campaign with the Mental Health Awareness and Trauma-Informed Care Proclamation to be read at the April 16th City Commission Meeting.
