Motion to terminate Agreements for wrecker, towing and storage with Motion to approve termination of the Agreements with Becks Towing and Recovery, Inc., Priority Towing, Inc. and Westway Towing, Inc. effective on October 9, 2016.

Background:
On October 20, 2015 Commission approved the award of Agreements with Becks Towing, Priority Towing and Westway Towing effective through October 31, 2019. Provisional language in Article 7 of the Agreement allows for termination for convenience by Commission to be effective on the termination date stated in written notice provided by City, which termination date shall be not less that thirty days after the date of written notice. Written notice of termination was provided to Becks Towing, Priority Towing and Westway Towing via e-mail on September 6, 2016 and via U.S. Mail on September 9, 2016. Under the terms of the Agreement, the companies will be paid for all services properly performed under the Agreement through the termination date.
Motion to approve termination of the Agreements with Becks Towing and Recovery, Inc., Priority Towing, Inc. and Westway Towing, Inc. effective on October 9, 2016 is in accordance with City Ordinance Section 36.07 (A) (1), "Termination."
