The Committee is asked to review the purposes of this item and to formulate a recommendation as to process and parameters of a potential grant program to outside organizations to provide workforce and job assistance programs for persons at risk or with OUD and other co-occurring disorders

 

Body

Background:

As the OSAC has previously discussed this program as explained in the Delray Beach Drug Task Force recommendations to the OSAC.  The City Commission has allocated $135,000 in opioid settlement funds for the program and asks the OSAC to recommend a process to select organizations to fund and to provide a recommendation for parameters and goals of the grant program.
