Background:

The City of Delray Beach awarded grant opportunities to all Delray Beach Public Schools. The grant will fund specific projects and activities related to the following high priority areas: reading, math and science proficiency, school safety, positive behavior interventions, mental and behavioral health, and workforce readiness. The grant was awarded to Atlantic High School, Carver Community Middle School, Village Academy, Orchard View Elementary School, Plumosa School of the Arts, S.D. Spady Elementary School, and Pine Grove Elementary School. School Board Members Erica Whitfield and Edwin Ferguson will provide a presentation in support of the grant.

The funding source of the 2024 Delray Beach Education Grant is from the Caron Foundation of Florida, Inc ("Caron) Settlement Agreement which has been allocated for educational funding in the City of Delray Beach.
