NOMINATIONS FOR APPOINTMENTS TO THE OPIOID SETTLEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. BASED ON THE ROTATION SYSTEM, THE NOMINATIONS FOR APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER; COMMISSIONER MARKERT (SEAT #1) AND VICE-MAYOR LONG (SEAT #2).

Motion to approve the nominations of two (2) members to the Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee (OSAC).

 

Body

Background:

The OSAC shall meet to review the needs of the community and recommend to the City Commission how to expend Opioid Litigation Settlement Funds.

 

The OSAC shall be comprised of seven (7) members who shall meet qualifications. At this time, two (2) seats remain vacant and are to be filled as follows:

 

i. One (1) member who is a State of Florida Licensed Health Care Professional.

ii. One (1) member who is a State of Florida Certified Addiction Professional, Certified Addiction Counselor, or Certified Recovery Peer Specialist.
