Title

RETROACTIVE APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF TENNIS CENTER AND STADIUM FOR FILM PRODUCTION BY SUPERPRIME

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to retroactively approve an agreement with Superprime for use of Tennis Center on March 4, 2016 for the purpose of filming a television commercial.

Body

Background:

Superprime approached the City of Delray Parks & Recreation, through JCD Sports Group, Inc., regarding rental of the Municipal Tennis Center for the filming of a television commercial on March 4th, 2016. Due to the short timeframe, as noted with previous filming requests of a similar nature, between the request and the filming date, the impacted departments (Parks & Recreation and Public Information Officer) consulted with the City Manager who permitted the activity contingent on compliance with the specific requirements and at the rate noted in the contract.

Superprime followed all terms and conditions of the attached contract while on site. Neither Parks & Recreation nor Tennis Center staff had any issue during the filming of this commercial. Superprime paid, in-full, prior to their commencing production/filming. No damages were incurred at the tennis center or stadium as a result of this filiming.
