Title

APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 82-23 FOR ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER WITH TRI-NOVA, INC., UNDER AN APPROVED CITY STANDARD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $127,516.85.

Body

Recommended Action:

Motion to approve Resolution No. 82-23 for issuance of a purchase order with Tri-Nova, Inc., under an approved City Standard for the purchase of chemical feed pumps in an amount not to exceed $127,516.85.

Body

Background:

The Utilities Department (Department) has an approved City Standard for ProMinent® pumps. Utilities Water Treatment Plant (WTP), since 2021 has been replacing its aging and obsolete pumps with ProMinent®  pumps. This request is to purchase additional chemical feed pumps for Ferric Chloride, Fluoride, and Phosphate. Having one brand of pumps is in the City’s best interest and reduces the financial impact and adds consistency to the same parts and components opposed to a variety. Chemical feed pumps are a critical component in the treatment process for potable water.

The Utilities Department requests to procure a purchase order with Tri-Nova, Inc., the distributor of these pumps in a total amount not to exceed $127,516.85.

This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies.
