Recommended Action:

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as Mizfit Gives - Ignite and Inspire to be held on April 26, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

 

Body

Background:

Mizfit Gives submitted a Special Event Application on November 6, 2025 for the event Mizfit Gives - Ignite and Inspire to be held at Old School Square on April 26, 2026. This is the first time this event will be held.  It is a family friendly fitness and wellness event. The event will have food trucks, cooking on site, live music, inflatable's, fitness classes and merchandise vendors. The event producer is expecting somewhere between 200-500 people in attendance.  The event will take place from 10am - 1pm on the amphitheater stage and lawn.

 

Special Event Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.

No special conditions are recommended by SETAC

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact to the city as the event producer will be billed for all costs.

 

Timing of Request:

The event producer would like to begin taking vendors and advertising.
