Recommendation
Motion to Approve Resolution No. 43-25 to issue a Purchase Order to Ten-8 Fire Safety and Equipment, Inc., for the purchase of a new Pierce Saber 75’ HAL Ladder Truck utilizing Sourcewell Contract No. 113021-OKC in the amount of $1,390,864.00.

Body
Background:
Fire Platform Truck #200950 was damaged beyond repairs in the accident involving a Brightline train on December 28, 2024. Currently, a reserve (backup) apparatus is being utilized as a front-line unit due to the loss of Truck #200950. TEN-8 Fire Safety and Equipment, Inc. has a new Pierce Saber 75’ HAL Ladder Truck available for purchase that would replace Truck #200950, restoring front-line response status and allowing the reserve apparatus to be utilized as a back-up elsewhere as needed. The purchase total also includes $25,000 for loose equipment, such as hoses. When an end-of-life apparatus is being replaced, equipment can be transferred into the new apparatus, but this equipment was also damaged in the collision.
