PROPOSED EDUCATION GOALS FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2024-2025

Background:
The City of Delray Beach's Education and Workforce Development Coordinator, Janai Bowens, in collaboration with the City of Delray Beach's Education Board Chairperson, Dr. Raiko Knight, will provide a comprehensive overview of goals priorities for staff and the Education Board. The presentation will include an analysis of student performance data, enrollment trends, and its implications. Using the proposed data, staff will seek clarification regarding direction in developing a task force initiative that engages in a sustainable approach to designing and implementing strategy to improve performance.
The presentation will also center the role of the City of Delray Beach Education Board in advocating for policy and direction. Staff will review the current board composition and ordinance and propose related goals and priorities.
