Recommended Action:
The Development Services Management Group (DSMG) is asked to make a recommendation to the City Commission regarding the Non-Impact Event known as Coco Market 2027 to be held on The first Sunday of each month in 2027. This event is not an Impact Event but must go before the City Commission for code and permit violations in 2026.

Background:
Cocoyogi Inc. submitted a Special Event Application on January 2, 2026 for the event Coco Market 2027 to be held the first Sunday of each month in 2027 at Old School Square Amphitheater. The Coco Market brings together local vendors, healers and businesses to provide healthy food and holistic services. The Market offers free yoga, meditation and workshops and creates a vibrant and uplifting space where wellness meets community. This will be the 6th year of the Coco Market hosted in Delray Beach. The event will have cooking on site, food trucks, and live music. The event producer expects a crowd of about 750 people per event date. The event runs from 9am - 3pm.

The event for the first 4 years had no issues, however in February of 2026 the producer allowed an animal rescue to be a vendor and did not submit for approval to have animals nor did the producer provide the rescues name on the vendor list or submit a certificate of insurance. There was an incident at the February 8th market where one of the rescue dogs bit a minor resulting in severe damage to said minor. This was a violation of the producers permit as wel...
