Recommendation
Motion to approve Resolution No. 227-25, approving the issuance of a Purchase Order to Tradewinds Power Corporation North; utilizing the Florida Sherrif's Association Contract No. FSA23-EQU21.0, for the purchase of four (4) mobile generators, and two (2) load bank testers, in a total amount not to exceed $450,650.

Body
Background:
On, May 1, 2023, the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA) solicited a cooperative purchasing equipment bid for construction, material handling, transportation, all-terrain and utility vehicles, and grounds care equipment. On October 1, 2023, Tradewinds was awarded the contract for the supply of generators. The contract pricing under the FSA Cooperative Purchasing Program extends and guarantees same pricing and terms to any local government or political subdivision within the State of Florida. The initial term of the agreement is for two (2) years, effective from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025. However, since the contract has been amended and also extended under FSA23-EQU21.1 valid through September 30, 2026.

The Utilities Maintenance Division has been replacing generators as they reach their useful life. Generators are critical for maintaining operations during a power outage either caused by weather hazards or other power related incidents. Replacement of aging equipment ensures continued operations of Utilities Liftstation's that pump sewage to the South Central Regional Waste Water Treatment Facility.
