Motion to approve Amendment No. 4 to extend the grant project completion date to December 31, 2025 and the grant period to March 1, 2026.

 

Body

Background:

On November 8, 2022 the City entered into a grant agreement with the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for upgrades to Pompey Park and Pool. On April 27, 2023, the agreement was extended to April 30, 2024 and entered into the agreement as Amendment No. 1. Amendment No. 2 was entered into the agreement on April 24, 2024. Amendment No. 3 was entered into the agreement on October 29, 2024 and on June 24, 2025 the City of Delray Beach and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection entered into a Continuation of Standard Grant Agreement which incorporated Amendment No. 4 to the agreement.

 

In order to complete the kitchen renovation and install the purchased equipment, the Department requires an extension to finalize the remaining project elements.
