Motion to approve granting a Temporary Facilities and Right of Entry Agreement from the City of Delray Beach in favor of Florida Power & Light for Pompey Park, located at 1101 NW 2nd Street.

 

Body

Background:

The Pompey Park Community Center & Campus Improvements Project (Public Works Project No. 16-102) is currently in the preconstruction phase. As the project transitions to construction, temporary power facilities and access to these facilities will be required to ensure power remains uninterrupted to the recreation building and field lighting. A Temporary Facilities and Right of Entry Agreement is required for these services from Florida Power & Light (FPL). Following approval of the agreement and payment of invoices, FPL’s work will commence.

City Attorney Review:

Funding Source:

The cost for installation and removal of the temporary facilities is $123,143.62. Funding for these services is available from 334-41-340-541.63-28 - Capital Outlay Pompey Pk/Community Ctr (Finance Project Code 41010).

 

Timing of Request:

Approval is requested to ensure the project remains on schedule.
