Background:
A historic turning point occurred on June 28, 1969 with the Stonewall Riots and is recognized as the catalyst of the LGBTQ rights movement. The City of Delray Beach remains committed to protecting the civil rights of LGBTQ communities as the purpose proves vital in our efforts to advance a more open and just society.
To respect and honor our diverse community and to build a culture of inclusiveness and acceptance join us in celebrating the month of June as Pride Month.
