Recommended Action:
Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as AVP League Beach Volleyball to be held on October 12-13, 2024; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball, LLC submitted a Special Event Application on April 16, 2024 for the AVP League Beach Volleyball at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on the weekend of October 12-13, 2024. This event happens all around the country in different cities. The expected attendance is about 1000 people per day for a total of 2000 people for the weekend. This is a professional beach volleyball event that could include Olympic athletes competing in Delray Beach. The event will include alcohol, amplified sound, food trucks and vendors. This is a ticketed event.

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.
No special conditions are recommended by SETAC
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
All costs will be billed to the event producer. Those costs are to be determined.
Timing of Request:
Event producer would like to begin selling admission tickets and booking the matches.
