Recommendation
The Office of the City Manager is pleased to share that the City of Delray Beach is being recognized by Palm Beach State College (PBSC) with its annual Panther Partner Award.
As referenced in the attached electronic message notification, this achievement is the result of the City’s contributions related to workforce development, student success, and community engagement. This specifically aligns with our organization’s support and sponsorship of its summer internship program, with several participants having been students of PBSC, as well as other initiatives to help advance educational and career opportunities.
A formal awards ceremony is therefore being scheduled as the final agenda item for the November 2nd workshop meeting. We will likewise be joined by PBSC Boca Raton Campus Provost & Dean Van P. Williams for this purpose.
