Motion to Award Bid No. 2016-028 to Unifirst Corporation in an amount not exceed $75,000.00 per fiscal year for a three (3) year term with one additional two (2) year renewal period. This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances, Section 36.02 (A)(1), “Sealed Competitive Method”. Funding is available from various departments.

Background:
A bid was issued on October 25, 2015, with a due date of November 30, 2015. The bid is to provide uniform rental and flat supply services for various departments, mainly Public Works and Parks Departments. Unifirst Corp. was the sole submitter. The bid was sent to 345 suppliers through BidSync and 16 suppliers reviewed the specifications. The pricing is slightly lower than a recently awarded bid by the City of Boca to the same firm. Unifirst Corp. is the current vendor. The anticipated annual spending shall not exceed $75,000 per fiscal year. The bid award is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02 (A)(1), "Sealed Competitive Method".
