Motion to Award a purchase to Strobes-R-Us for light bars and equipment in the amount of $14,373.68 for a K9 Police Vehicle.

Background:
Environmental Services is requesting approval to purchase light bars and equipment for the K9 unit of the Police Department. The purchase from Strobes-R-Us will be through the Broward Sheriff’s Contract. The light bars and equipment is for a new K9 Police Utility vehicle. The vehicle is replacing a Crown Victoria model and the light bars and equipment is not compatible with the new Chevrolet Tahoe.
This purchase is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02(C)(7)(a), "Utilization of Other Governmental Entities' Contracts".

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Finance Department Review:
Finance recommends approval.
Funding Source:
Funding is available from 501-3312-591.64-20 (Capital Outlay/Automotive).
