Motion to Approve an amendment to extend the Agreement with BJCE, Inc. for Municipal Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club Management Agreement for thirty days through January 31, 2017.

 

 

Body

Background:

On September 28, 2004, City Commission approved the award of an Agreement for Municipal Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club Management . On September 22, 2016, the City Manager extended the Agreement for a period of ninety days, extending the contract term through December 31, 2016.  City staff is requesting an addtional extension of the Agreement through January 31, 2017 to allow the City ample time to complete contract negotiations and enter into a new Agreement for Municipal Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club Management.

 

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36.07 (A)(2), "Extensions".

 

 

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

 

Finance Department Review:

Finance recommends approval.

 

Funding Source:

Funding is available from account number 446-4711-572-34.90 (Lakeview Golf Course Fund: Other Contractual Services).

 

Timing of Request:

These agreements expired on December 31, 2016. They must be renewed so that management services can continue.
