Motion to Approve an Agreement through September 21, 2018 with Hinterland Group, Inc. in a not-to-exceed annual amount of $275,000, utilizing the City of West Palm Beach Contract No. 16293 for Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Repair.

Background:
On September 21, 2015, the City of West Palm Beach, Florida issued Contract No. 16293 (ITB 14-15-119) to Hinterland Group, Inc. for Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Repair. The contract is valid from September 21, 2015 through September 21, 2018 with two, one-year renewal options.

The Environmental Services Department Public Utilities Division programmed the use of contract services for providing rehabilitation services related to sanitary sewer and stormwater pipes for the Fiscal Year 2017 Capital Improvement Budget. The program allows the rehabilitation of pipes by employing the cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) method of as a means of extending the useful life of pipes. For Fiscal Year 2017, staff has identified approximately 7,000 linear foot of piping that qualifies for pipe lining, varying in size from 8 inch to 15 inch in diameter.

Utilizing the pricing under the the City of West Palm Beach for Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Repair contract, Public Utilities estimates annual restorations not-to-exceed $275,000. The scope of work consists of furnishing and installing CIPP, as well as performing necessary pipe repairs.
