Title
RATIFY AMENDMENT NO. 1 AND APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 WITH IMPERIAL ELECTRICAL, INC. AND UNIVERSAL ELECTRIC, INC. FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICES AND REPAIRS

Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to Approve Amendments No. 1 with Imperial Electrical, Inc. and Universal Electric, Inc. and Approve Amendments No. 2 with Imperial Electrical, Inc. and Universal Electric, Inc. in an amount not-to-exceed $25,000 for each firm.

Body
Background:
On August 25, 2014 the City issued an ITB No. 2014-42 for Electrical Services and Repairs Agreements. Based on the anticipated spend of less than $25,000, the City entered into Agreements with Universal Electric, Inc. and Imperial Electrical, Inc. with City Manager approval. Per the ITB, renewals are subject to approval by the City Commission.

The Agreement with Universal Electric was effective through January 20, 2016. The first renewal through January 20, 2017 was not presented to Commission for approval, however Universal continued to provide services under the Agreement terms and conditions. The City and Universal Electric, Inc. have mutually agreed to exercise the second renewal option. Amendment 2 will renew the Agreement through January 20, 2018 in an amount not-to-exceed $25,000 and correct the start date of the Agreement to read January 20, 2015 rather than January 20, 2014 as stated.

The Agreement with Imperial Electrical, Inc. was effective through March 5, 2016. The first renewal through March 5, 2017 was not presented to Commission for approval, however Imperial continued to provide services under the Agreement terms and conditions. The City and Imperial Electrical, Inc. have mutually agreed to exercise the second renewal option. Amendment No. 2 will renew the Agreement through March 5, 2018 in an amount not-to-exceed $25,000.
