Title

APPROVAL OF RANKING AND AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR CONTINUING GENERAL ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTING SERVICES

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve the ranking and authorize negotiations with Currie Sowards Aguila Architects, Inc., Walter Zackria Associates, PLLC, Song & Associates, Inc. and BEA Architects, Inc., for Continuing General Architectural Consulting Services.

Body

Background:

On November 10, 2016, the City advertised RFQ No. 2017-010 for Continuing General Architectural Consulting Service).  Four proposals were received from Currie Sowards Aguila Architects, Inc., Walter Zackria Associates, PLLC, Song & Associates, Inc. and BEA Architects, Inc. All four companies were deemed responsive and responsible. The proposals were evaluated based upon the criteria in the RFP.  All four companies scores were within a competitive range after the initial technical evaluations and there were no significant clarifications or further explanations of qualifications needed by the committee. Therefore, the committee elected not to conduct interviews.

The committee is recommending approval to enter into contract negotiations with all four companies. At the conclusion of negotiations, one or more agreements will be presented to Commission for approval.

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02 (A)(1), and “Competitive Bids".
