Motion to Award an Agreement to West Architecture + Design, LLC for Architectural Consulting Services for Delray Beach Railway Station in a not-to-exceed amount of $148,690.

 

Body

Background:

On March 28, 2016, a Request for Qualifications, RFQ No. 2016-081C for architectural consulting services for the City’s historic railway station was advertised. On August 16, 2016, City Commission approved the ranking and authorized staff to negotiate an Agreement with West Architecture + Design, LLC. 

 

The cost submitted by West Architecture + Design, LLC was an amount of $250,000. Staff was successful in negotiating an Agreement with West Architecture + Design, LLC that decreased costs by $101,310. The Agreement staff is presenting to Commission is for a not-to-exceed amount of $148,690 for the two year term of the Agreement.

 

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02 (A)(2), "Sealed Competitive Method, Request for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Letters of Interest".

 

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

 

Finance Department Review:

Finance recommends approval.
