Recommendation

Motion to approve Resolution No. 15-17 as presented.

Background:

The City of Delray Beach is required by Florida Fire prevention Code, Chapter 69A-60.007: (1) Section 633.025, F.S., provides that each municipality, county and special district with fire safety responsibilities is required to enforce the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Such enforcement requires inspections of each new building subject to the Florida Fire Prevention Code and includes periodic inspections of each existing building subject to the Florida Fire Prevention Code. (2) Section 633.081, F.S., The governing body of a county, municipality, or special district that has fire safety enforcement responsibilities may provide a schedule of fees to pay the costs of inspections conducted pursuant to this subsection and related administrative expenses.
