Motion to Approve a nomination for appointment for one (1) regular member to serve on the Civil Service Board.

Background:
The term for regular member Ms. Yvonne Walker expired on April 1, 2017. Ms. Yvonne Walker will have served one (1) full term is eligible, and would like to be nominated for reappointment. Nomination for appointment is needed for one (1) regular member.
According to the Civil Service Act, there are to be five (5) regular members on the Civil Service Board; three (3) of which are to be of different vocations or vocational backgrounds, not employed by the City in any capacity, official or otherwise and appointed by the City Commission. Eligible City employees elect two (2) regular members. In addition, there are two (2) alternate members. The appointee need not be a resident, property owner or business owner within the City.
The following individual submitted an application and would like to be nominated for reappointment:

Based on the rotation system, the nomination for appointment will be made by Commissioner Petrolia (Seat #1) for one (1) regular member to serve a two year term ending April 1, 2019.
