APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO OPERATE TROLLEY ROUTES AGREEMENT WITH UNIQUE TRANSPORTATION & TOURS LLC

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve Amendment No. 2 to renew the Transportation Services To Operate Trolley Routes Agreement with Unique Transportation & Tours LLC through June 10, 2018 in an annual amount not-to-exceed $400,000.

Body

Background:

On June 13, 2013, City entered into a three year agreement with Unique Transportation & Tours LLC for transportation services to operate trolley routes (RFP No. 2013-22). The original term of the Agreement was effective through June 10, 2016. On July 5, 2016, City Commission retroactively approved the renewal of the Agreement through June 10, 2017.  City and Unique Transportation & Tours LLC have mutually agreed to exercise the second renewal option. Amendment No. 2 will renew the Agreement through June 10, 2018 in an annual amount not-to-exceed $400,000. Funding in the amount of $400,000 per year is provided through an Interlocal Agreement with the CRA.

Through this Agreement, Unique Transportation & Tours operates City-owned trolleys along various trolley routes within the City limits. Additionally, Unique Transportation & Tours provides cleaning services for the exterior of the trolleys and a semi-annual complete detailing service of the trolleys.

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36,  Section 36.07 (A)(3), "Termination, Extension and Renewal".
