Motion to Award a two-year Agreement to BJCE, Inc. d/b/a JCD Sports Company in an amount not to exceed amount of $280,000 for Municipal Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club Management Services for the term of May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2019.

Background:
On March 11, 2016, a Request for Proposals, RFP No. 2016-079 for Municipal Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club Management services was advertised. On August 16, 2016 City Commission approved the ranking and authorized staff to negotiate an Agreement with BJCE, Inc.

The Agreement staff is presenting to Commission is for an annual amount of $140,000 for management services for a not-to-exceed amount of $280,000 for the two-year term of the Agreement with all approved expenses reimbursed by the City. The Agreement includes performance metrics for gross revenue generation that addresses golf, merchandise sales and food and beverage sales and performance metrics related to operating expenses. Additionally, the Agreement provides for an incentive profit/loss sharing structure. The firm will provide administrative oversight of all key operating areas such as turf management, golf professional services, food and beverage operations, and facilities maintenance. The term of the Agreement is for two years with two, one-year options to renew.

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02 (A)(2), “Request for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Letters of Interest”.
