Motion to Award a Purchase Agreement to Beach Environmental Exterminating, Inc. for Termite Inspection, Testing, Evaluation, & Treatment for Old School Square and Community Center Buildings, Project #16-004 in an amount not-to-exceed of $64,000.

Background:
On January 20, 2017, the City advertised ITB 2017-034 for Termite Inspection, Testing, Evaluation, & Treatment for Old School Square and Community Center Buildings. The City received two responsible and responsive bids. Beach Environmental Exterminating, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid with the price of $60,826. Staff is requesting a contingency of $3,174 for any miscellaneous services required to complete the project.
This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02(A)(1), “Sealed Competitive Method".

Finance recommends approval.
Funding Source:
Funding will be provided from account number 001-3431-519.34-20 (General Fund: Pest Control Services).
