Background:
On May 2, 2017, the City Commission directed the City Attorney to draft a resolution replacing the current Board of the Community Redevelopment Agency with the City Commission.
Pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 163.357, the governing body of a municipality may, at any time by adoption of a resolution, declare itself to be the Community Redevelopment Agency. This section further provides that the Community Redevelopment Agency shall remain a legal entity separate, distinct, and independent of the municipality.
Accordingly, the attached resolution declares the City Commission to be the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Delray Beach.
