Motion to Approve Amendment No. 1 to Revocable License Agreement with Knights of Pythagoras (KOP) Mentoring Network, Inc. for use of classroom No.5 at Catherine Strong Park for purpose of tutoring and mentoring students aged 7 to 17 and for staff preparation in support of such programs.

Background:
In June 2016, Delray Beach Parks and Recreation entered into a contract with KOP Mentoring Network, Inc. a non-for-profit corporation whose stated purpose is to create a structured yet informal program through which boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 17 can regularly interact with committed, conscientious adult men and women, in order to help students discover their own individual strengths, talents, and gifts, and in order to enable students to develop positive lift skills and goals that can be expressed in their lives and shared within their communities.

This past year KOP Mentoring Network, Inc. has provided more than 200 youth with mentoring services through programs such as: oratorical program which assist students with researching, reading, memorizing and delivering speeches; entrepreneurial program providing the basics on generating business ideas, conduct marketing research, write business plans and launch their own companies.

On May 19, 2017 KOP Mentoring Network, Inc. submitted a letter requesting that the Revocable License Agreement be extended for one year for the period June 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018 per the agreement terms and conditions stated.
