Recommendation

Motion to Approve Amended Exhibit A to West Architecture & Design, LLC in an amount not to exceed $14,500 for architectural consulting services for the Historic Delray Beach Railway Station (Project #17-007).

Body

Background:

On January 10, 2017 Commission approved an agreement with West Architecture & Design, LLC (WAD) for architectural consulting services for the Historic Delray Beach Railway Station in a not-to-exceed amount of $148,690.  To date, the City has paid WAD $28,500 for professional services rendered through 5/1/17.

A decreased scope of work has been requested of WAD to perform only specific work relating to the structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing deficiencies of the railway station along with a cost estimate for an amount not to exceed $14,500 (reduce Purchase Order No. 708111 in the amount of $105,690):

1)                     $9,500 for the balance of the Historic Structures Report

2)                     $5,000 for the Conceptual Cost Estimate

The revised Scope of Work is detailed in Amended Exhibit A.  This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36.06(A)(2), “Within the Scope of Work”.
