Motion to Approve Amendment No. 1 to renew the agreement with M & M Asphalt Maintenance, Inc. d/b/a All County Paving, Inc. in an annual amount not-to-exceed $55,000 utilizing the City of Sunrise, Florida Contract C15-33-05-MS for roadway restoration services.

Background:
On May 12, 2015, the City of Sunrise awarded a two-year contract number C15-33-05-MS to M & M Asphalt Maintenance, Inc. d/b/a All County Paving, Inc. (M&M) for road restoration services valid through May 31, 2017, with two, one-year options to renew. On May 4, 2017, the City of Sunrise exercised the first option to renew the contract through May 31, 2018. On December 13, 2016, City Commission approved an award of an agreement with M & M. for road restoration services. The City and M&M have mutually agreed to renew the agreement. This Amendment No. 1 will renew the City Agreement with M&M from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018, in an amount not-to-exceed $55,000.

In the FY2017 operating budget the Environmental Services Department, Water and Sewer Network Division recommended the use of outsourced contract services to augment the activities performed by the Public Works / Streets and Traffic group for FY2017. Utilizing the services under this Agreement provides as-needed resources for expedient and cost effective restoration of City asphalt roadways, asphalt and concrete driveways, and concrete sidewalks that have been impacted in the performance of water and sewer utility repair and maintenance activities.
