Motion to Approve Service Authorization No. 12-35 with Mathews Consulting dba Baxter and Woodman Company in the amount not-to-exceed $11,381 for professional engineering services related to performing an inspection on a 1 million gallon above ground prestressed concrete potable water storage tank to satisfy a Florida Administrative Code regulatory requirement for a finished drinking water storage tank.

Background:
On January 24, 2012, the City entered into an Agreement with Mathews Consulting for continuing general engineering consulting services (RFQ 2012-06). On December 13, 2016 City Commission approved the assignment and assumption of the Mathews Agreement to Baxter and Woodman Company and renewal of the agreement through June 2017.

Under this service authorization the consultant will provide professional engineering services related to cleaning the tank, performing the inspection, and providing a condition assement report to satisfy Florida Administrative Code Chapter 62-555.350, requiring finished drinking water storage tanks to be inspected and cleaned at least once every five years. The existing pre-stressed concrete potable water ground storage tank is located at 2498 Owens Baker Road, Delray Beach, FL. Total estimated cost for services under Service Authorization No. 12-35 is in the amount not to exceed $11,381. All tasks will be completed by November 30, 2017.

This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36.
