Motion to Approve Purchase Agreements with Bound Tree Medical, LLC in an amount not-to-exceed $210,000.00, to Henry Schein, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $26,250.00, and to Midwest Medical Supply Co., L.L.C. in an amount not to exceed $11,250.00 for the provision of medical supplies and medications, through City of Boynton Beach Cooperative Bid 044-2210-16/JMA.

Background:
The City of Boynton Beach is the lead agency on a joint cooperative bid with the City of Delray Beach for medical supplies and medications primarily used by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division of our Fire Department. The City of Boynton Beach has renewed their contracts with Bound Tree Medical, Henry Schein, and Midwest Medical Supply. The City of Delray Beach is now requesting approval to renew existing Purchase Agreements with each of the three companies for a one-year period through July 11, 2018.
This purchase agreement allows suppliers to increase their prices annually up to five percent. Staff has reviewed the increases and prior amounts spent with each supplier and requests a five percent increase of the purchase agreement with Bound Tree for a total of $210,000, and Henry Schein for $26,250.
This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.02 "Commission Approval Required".
