Motion to approve a purchase award to Nortrax, Inc. for one John Deere 310L combination backhoe loader in an amount not to exceed $80,501 and one John Deere 324E Skid Steer Loader in an amounty not to exceed $43,721.25, utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of Counties Contract #FSA16-VEH14.0.

Background:
On October 1, 2016 the Florida Sheriff’s Association, Florida Association of Counties awarded Contract #FSA16-VEH14.0 to Nortrax, Inc. for cab and chassis trucks and other fleet equipment. The contract is valid through September 30, 2017.
The Environmental Services Department, Fleet Division is requesting approval to purchase one John Deere 310L from Nortrax, Inc., to be added to the Cityof Delray Beach (City) fleet to support the operations and maintenance of the City's stormwater management system. The new John Deere equipment is replacing a 2002 Case 580M combination backhoe that is at the end of its useful life.
In addition, the Environmental Services Department, Fleet Division is requesting approval to purchase one John Deere 324E from Nortrax, Inc., to be added to the City of Delray Beach (City) fleet to support the maintenance of City streets. The new John Deere equipment is replacing a 2004 New Holland LS180 Skid Steer Loader that is at the end of its useful life.
Nortrax, Inc., has certified that the prices offered are the lowest to any other governmental entity within the State of Florida.
This recommendation complies with the City's Purchasing Policies and Procedures Manual.
