This Resolution affirms the City’s support of the funding commitment for the local share of the Delray Beach Renourishment project. This local share is provided by Palm Beach County pursuant to an interlocal agreement dated July 10, 2013.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is undergoing its annual update of the Florida Beach Management Program Long-Range Budget Plan and they are developing a prioritized list of State Beach Erosion Control Projects. The culmination of this process is the preparation and submittal of the Department’s Fixed Capital Outlay, containing Local Government Funding requests to establish State funding priorities for FY 2018-19.
FDEP requires a resolution of support and acknowledgement of funding commitment for the local share annually. The attached resolution meets this requirement.
