Title

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO FUNDING AGREEMENTS  WITH SANDOWAY HOUSE AND THE DELRAY BEACH HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve amendments to the funding agreements for Sandoway House and the Delray Beach Historical Society.

Body

Background:

In December 2016, The City of Delray Beach (“City”) entered into funding agreements with Sandoway House and the Delray Beach Historical Society. A copy of their original agreements are attached.  Under this agreement, it required each of these organizations to provide the City with an audit of their financial records since public funds were being provided for their operations.  During a City Commission meeting, discussion ensued that an audit would be too expensive and defeat the purpose of the funding agreement.  Thus, the City Commission instructed City Staff to provide an agreement amendment to convert the audit requirement to a compilation requirement.  Attached are Amendment #1 to all the above mentioned organizations funding agreements fulfilling this requirement which was drafted by the City Attorney’s Office.  A copy of the Amendment was forwarded to all the organizations for comments and execution.
