RESOLUTION NO. 52-17: STORMWATER UTILITY ASSESSMENT

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve Resolution No. 52-17 establishing a budget for the Stormwater Utility System, establishing the rates for FY 2018 Stormwater Management Assessments, and certifying and adopting the Stormwater Assessment Roll.

Body

Background:

City of Delray Beach (City) staff is recommending the stormwater utility rate of $5.33 per month per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU), for a total annual assessment of $63.96 per ERU. This is the same rate as adopted last year. Property owners within the Lake Worth Drainage District or owners of property served by private drainage systems are given a 25% discount.

The proposed budget for the Stormwater Utility Fund is incorporated in Resolution No. 52-17 as Exhibit “A”. The rate structure with condominium factors is attached to the Resolution as Exhibit “B”.  The assessment roll will be available for review in the City Commission Chambers at the August 15, 2017 meeting.
