Motion to Approve purchase awards to Duval Ford, LLC and Hub City Ford-Mercury, Inc., for the purchase of 2 additional vehicles for a total of $68,514, utilizing Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA16-VEL24.0.

Background:
On October 1, 2016, the Florida Sheriff's Association awarded Contract #FSA16-VEH24.0 for vehicles. The contract is valid through September 30, 2017. Duval Ford, LLC and Hub City Ford-Mercury, Inc. are authorized Ford dealerships. Both dealerships honor the Florida Sheriff's Association contract pricing.
The Environmental Services Department, Fleet Division is requesting approval to purchase 2 vehicles from these two dealerships to be added to the City fleet in Fiscal Year 2017 as replacements for total loss vehicles.
Duval Ford, LLC and Hub City Ford-Mercury, Inc. have certified that the prices offered are the lowest to any other governmental entity within the State of Florida.
This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, "Commission Approval Required" and Purchasing Policies, Accessing Contracts from Other Government Agencies and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
