Motion to Ratify Amendment No. 1 with and approve Amendment No. 1 with L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. in an amount not-to-exceed $77,190.

Background:

On February 2, 2015 the City of Delray Beach issued Bid 2015-47- I-95 Interchange Annual Contract. The City received two (2) responses on May 20, 2015, From L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. and Complete Property Services of South Florida Inc. The City awarded the bid to the lowest priced vendor, L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. The bid award was in accordance with the Code of Ordinances No. 29-13 and Sec. 36.02 Methods of Acquisition. On July 7, 2015, the City issued an agreement for service for one year to L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. (ITB No. 2015-47) effective through July 6, 2016 with the option to renew for two consecutive one-year terms. 

 

The first renewal, effective July 7, 2016 through July 6, 2017, was not presented to Commission for approval; however L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. continued to provide services under the Agreement terms and conditions.  The City and L. V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. have mutually agreed to exercise the second renewal option.  Amendment 1 will renew the Agreement through July 6, 2018 in an amount not-to-exceed $77,190.

 

This recommendation complies with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36.07 (A)(2), "Extensions".

 

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

 

Finance Department Review:

Finance recommends approval.

 

Funding Source:

Funding is available from account number 119-72-730-572-46.12 (Beautification Trust Fund).
