RESOLUTION NO. 74-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, TERMINATING THE STATE OF EMERGENCY PREVIOUSLY DECLARED IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE IRMA PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 95 OF THE CITY CODE OF; PROVIDING AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

The City Commission hereby deactivates the City’s Emergency Management system and in accordance with Chapter 95 of the City of Delray Beach Code of Ordinances does hereby terminate the previously declared State of Emergency.

Background:
On September 5, 2017, the Mayor declared a State of Emergency in response to Governor Rick Scott’s issuance of Executive Order 17-235 (Emergency Management - Hurricane Irma) declaring a State of Emergency in every county in the State of Florida.
