INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH (CITY) AND THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (CRA) FOR FUNDING CONSTRUCTION AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR FY 2017-2018

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the City of Delray Beach (City) and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for funding of construction and professional services for FY 2017-2018.

Body

Background:

Each year the City and the CRA enter into an interlocal agreement to formalize the CRA's commitment to fund the specific  projects as shown on Exhibit "A". The implementation of the many projects contained in the Community Redevelopment Plan, particularly the public infrastructure projects resulting from the adopted Neighborhood and Redevelopment Plan, require a joint City / CRA effort. The typical arrangement involves the CRA funding all or a portion of the project, and the City Programs and Project Management Staff or other staff overseeing the bidding and construction processes. Once funded, the projects are included in the city's CIP (Capital Improvement Plan).

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

Finance Department Review:
