Title

APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 WITH HART HALSEY LLC FOR ADMINISTRATION OF OFF DUTY POLICE DETAILS

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve Amendment No. 1 with  Hart Halsey LLC to extend the Agreement from November 3, 2017 through November 2, 2018 for administration of off duty police details.

Body

Background:

On November 3, 2015 the City issued an Agreement for administration of police off duty details (BID No. 2015-73) effective through November 2, 2017 with three (3) one-year renewals at no cost to the City. The company has agreed to extend  the Agreement through November 2, 2018. The City requested price change for the officers' rate. The officers' regular rate increased from $31.00 to $35.00 per hour and the premium rate increased from $46.00 to $50.00 per hour. This is to stay competitive with surrounding agencies. The company has also increased their rates by $1.00 per hour, mostly due to increase in amount of City overtime that they schedule.

This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36 and City Policies and Procedures, Change Orders and Amendments; Contracts must be amended in the same manner in which they were executed.
